British Barbell
British Barbell is a Community Amateur Sports Club and is supported by a network of volunteers. The Club has frequent opportunities for volunteers, and any one interested is encouraged to get in contact by the Club email address
The Committee meet on a monthly basis, overseeing the day-to-day maintenance of the Club, and planning its future development. If you have any questions or suggestions please feel free to direct them to a member of the Committee.
The Advisory Group is made up of a number of Professionals from the community who are on hand to offer expert advice to members and to guide the Committee in the development of the Club.
The Club training sessions are overseen by qualified instructors who are available to give inductions to powerlifting, develop training programmes and establish strong, safe techniques is the three powerlifting disciplines and a range of assistance exercises
Competitions are a great way to focus your training and motivate your training sessions. Our qualified referees are on hand to give members advice on competition technique, to ensure that your lifts are up to scratch
