Membership Details
The Club has an open membership policy, everyone who abides by our Conditions of Membership can become a member. The Club is made up of a mixture of male and female members drawn from a range of age groups, religions and ethnicities.

Types of Membership
Supportive Anyone who is interested in contributing to Club, whether financially, as a volunteer (see our 'Support' section), or simply by following the development of the Club and our lifters, is encouraged to join the Club on an annual basis as a Supportive member. The Committee will send around a monthly e-mail newsletter after each Committee meeting to let you know all the latest news, and let you know the competition line-up for our lifters, where support is always very welcome. In addition, you can follow the latest results and event reports in our Latest News section.
Training Anyone interested in training for Powerlifting in anyone of our sessions should join the Club as a Training member, before they commence their training.
Membership & Training Fees

Monthly Training Fees Training Members only Club £10 (plus a suggested donation of £10) Squad £20 (plus a suggested donation of £20) Team £30 (plus a suggested donation of £30)
British Barbell is a non-profit organisation registered with the Charities’ Commission. The monthly fees go towards the running costs of the club. If members are able to contribute the suggested donation (or some part thereof) in addition to the monthly fee (so for a 'Club' member, this would be a total monthly payment of £20), then this will enable to club to further develop. In addition if you pay sufficient Income or Capital Gains Tax, by completing our Gift Aid declaration (at the end of the Membership Form), for every pound donated (including suggested monthly donations) the Club can reclaim an extra 28p.
The Access Scheme British Barbell is committed to providing access to everyone regardless of socio-economic status. If a member is unable to cover any of the fees they are encouraged to apply to the Committee, detailing their circumstances and the amount that they are able to contribute towards these fees. All applications are confidential.
How to Join
All applicants are required to read through and abide by our Conditions of Membership. If you are currently breaching or any event in your past breaches these conditions, please contact the Committee prior to applying (particularly in relation to 'Anti-Doping' and 'Behaviour').
Supportive Please read through the Membership Guide and complete the first page of the Membership Form and the Gift Aid declaration on the last page (if applicable). Please either bring the form to a session (or via a Club member) or post the form to the Club address. The Annual Membership Fee can be paid by cash, cheque (payable to 'British Barbell') or online transfer (account details on the third page of the Membership Form). Training All Training Members are required to complete the first two pages of the Membership Form and to pay the Annual Membership Fee prior to their initial session. Please bring these to your first session. The Annual Membership Fee can be paid by cash, cheque (payable to 'British Barbell') or online transfer (account details on the third page of the Membership Form).
