Great Britain Annual General Meeting

Ben Banks represented the Club and the Greater London Division at the 2009 Great Britain Powerlifting Federation AGM, held at Hatchford Brook, in Birmingham. There was a strong attendance at the meeting, with almost fifty members in attendance. Various aspects of the sport where discussed, including a potential bid for the European Juniors in 2011, and a development international with Spain. In addition Ben Banks was elected to join Dean Bowring, Brian Irwin and Joe Bullock on the GBPF Lifters Committee. The Lifters Committee, represent all training members of the GBPF, and discuss and propose ideas to the Executive Committee, in order to improve and develop the sport.
