Child Protection

The Club has been able to attract a range of membership so far, but going forward we aim to open our doors to members in the 14-18 age bracket as well. To this aim, two of our volunteers, Benjamin Banks and Rebecca Yeoh, have attended the Sports Coach UK Safeguarding and Protecting Children Workshop and have successfully applied for enhanced CRB checks through the National Governing Body. These two steps should offer reassurance to the parents of any Sub-Junior (under 18) members looking to attend the Club. In the Second half of the year, the Club will be seeking assistance to make the Club sessions more accessible to younger members, and provide them with the opportunity to get their first taste of the sport, and hopefully begin the development of some future champions!
