Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships 2007

Following on from their performances are the World Junior Powerlifting Championships in La Garde, France, two weeks ago, the National Governing Body have now registered some of their lifts as Commonwealth records. Andy Ly set Junior 90kg Commonwealth Records of 280kg in the Squat and 710kg in the total. Ben Banks set Junior 110kg Commonwealth Records of 230kg in the Bench Press, 315kg in the Deadlift and 830kg in the total. Their lifting are the World Juniors has also warranted them invites to represent Great Britain at the Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships in Christchurch, New Zealand in early December.
