World Junior Powerlifting Championships 2007

We are please to confirm that both Ben Banks and Andy Ly have been selected to represent Great Britain at the World Junior Powerlifting Championships in La Garde, France. The team fly out on Sunday 2nd September, with Andy Ly competing in the 90kg class on Thursday 6th June, and Ben Banks competing in the 110kg class on Saturday 8th September.

The World Junior Championships is run simultaneously with the World Sub Junior Championships (for U18 lifters). The full U23 team is James White (75kg), Mark Gregory (90kg), Andy Ly (90kg), and Ben Banks (110kg). The U18 team is Chloe Lambeth (44kg), Steven Tyers (60kg), Scott Sales (75kg), Shaun Doble (75kg), Jonathan Biggins (82.5kg). They are being accompanied by John Halfacre as Team Manager and Paul Rees as Team Coach. Please join us in congratulating all the lifters on making the team and wishing them every success in France.
