Community Amateur Sports Club

In last year's AGM member's voted to adopt our current Constitution which is in keeping with the requirements to be recognised as a Community Amateur Sports Club. At the start of 2007, given that the Club was at this point becoming more established, submitted the application forms to officially be recognised as a Community Amateur Sports Club by both the Charities' Commission and Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs. The application was duly accepted and the Club is fully registered as of 1st May 2006 (CASC04310/CH06680). This status will help the club gain further recognition within the community, particularly among sporting and government bodies, and will enable the Club to claim tax relief on donations received after the registration; the Committee will distribute the relevant forms and information shortly. This registration is an important milestone in the progression of the Club, and a tribute to all those who have supported the Club's development.
